§ For Parents

The six questions every parent asks us.

Choosing a degree for a seventeen-year-old is a ten-year decision. We have answered these six questions in writing — and the admissions office will answer them again, in person, for your family.

01
Why a four-year degree if my child only needs CA?
Because the degree is the insurance policy. CA Inter and Final have low single-digit pass rates; without a parallel degree, a student who needs an extra attempt is out of the formal education system. GAPA keeps them inside it.
02
Will the degree distract from CA prep?
The opposite — the syllabus IS the CA prep. Sem 1 Financial Accounting maps to CA Foundation Paper 1. Sem 3 Auditing maps to CA Inter Paper 5. Your child revises once, sits two exams.
03
Is this a recognised degree or a private certificate?
University of Mumbai-recognised, NEP 2020-aligned, eight-semester BBA (Hons.). The same recognition any MU college issues.
04
What if my child doesn't clear CA?
They still graduate with a Mumbai University BBA (Hons.) in finance — directly placeable in audit, banking, equity research, FinTech and corporate finance. Placement statistics for the previous cohort are published on /placements.
05
How does the fee compare to a coaching-only path?
GAPA's four-year tuition is set against the combined cost of a generic B.Com. plus standalone CA coaching plus repeat-attempt fees. The detailed comparison is in the brochure.
06
Is the campus safe? What about transport for girls?
All four campuses are inside established college infrastructure with security, CCTV and women's-cell support. The admissions office can walk you through the specific transport profile for your home address.
